12-Year-Old Undergrad Caleb Anderson Inspires Us All
November 8, 2020
Caleb Anderson is currently a 12-year-old freshman at Chattahoochee Technical College. He is a fast learner and gets information quicker than most people, confirming his exceptional abilities.
When Caleb was nine months old he started signing to communicate with his parents. Then at the age of 2, he read the preamble of the US Constitution and started first grade. All of these milestones happened in only a span of two years. His mother and father were amazed by his abilities at such a young age. “At certain points, it was doubts, unbelief, surprise. Kind of all mixed with different feelings.” Caleb’s dad said.Â
As Caleb grew older people started doubting his parent’s claims of their extraordinary child.“It almost felt like I had to convince people that this child is exceptional.” Claire Anderson said,Â
“And that is why I made the decision to go ahead and get him tested in MENSA because I wanted for something that I believe in my heart, and in my child to be true for other people to see it also”Â
MENSA is a non-profit organization that is open to anyone who scores 98th percentile or above on any supervised IQ or intelligence test. Caleb joined MENSA at five years old. This supported his mother’s belief that he was gifted academically.
As Caleb first started school he far surpassed all his classmates from elementary all the way to middle school. When Caleb reached middle school he was targeted by his peers due to him being an intellectually gifted student. “At my middle school, a lot of people treated me like I was an alien,” Caleb said.Â
As if being bullied by classmates wasn’t enough, “I was in middle school and I really didn’t like it, it was really boring. And I wasn’t learning anything, I wasn’t being challenged.” Caleb said. Middle school swept a blanket of boredom and limitation over Caleb. Until he took action and asked his parents if there was another option for him academically. That’s what planted the seed for him to go to college at age 12.Â
As always anyone who wants to go to college has to take the entry test. “When he aced the college entry exam. I was ecstatic. But I almost felt vindicated. Because now. Others can see what I’ve always seen,” Claire Anderson said. After he passed the entry exams, It became clear to many that Caleb had gifted abilities.
During Caleb’s first month of his incredible journey in college, he was elated by the difference in the way the students treated him. “They welcomed me, it was like I was like, you know, their little brother. And, like I was a friend and I really, that really you know that welcomed environment.” Caleb said. He felt the welcoming environment made it less stressful, and he was much happier.Â
Now that Caleb is being surrounded by peers with his level of confidence, drive, hard work, and knowledge he is able to thrive. “It really helped me with my grades and helped me with my life, and I’m really glad that happened,” Caleb said. Currently, he is beginning his sophomore year of college.
His mother had wise counsel for anyone like Caleb. “Follow your dream, there’s nothing not normal with loving to learn.” Claire Anderson said

The article “12-Year-Old Undergrad Caleb Anderson Inspires Us All”, by Hastee M. is an inspiring story about someone with a gifted and unique ability, embracing his differences. It has inspired me to try harder in school and to push to get ahead. There is nothing wrong with being one step in life, Caleb Anderson proves that. He inspires me to think not just of what is right in front of me but also what I could create for myself in the future. He shows that it is possible to reach for more than what is originally offered. I would recommend this article to anyone who wants to be inspired to work harder and strive for more than what is given.

The article, “12 Year-Old Undergrad Caleb Anderson inspires Us All” written by Hastee M made me realize, theres people younger then me that are way smarter then me. Though I never met anyone as young and smart as Caleb is, it still catches me off guard that he signs to communicate with his parents at 9 months old. And at 2, he read the preamble of the U.S Constitution, If 2 year old me would do that, i would give up about 3 sentences in. Soon i got even more surprised that at 5 years old he got into MENSA, and was basically Albert Einstein reincarnated. And I became flabergasted at the fact, at 12 years old, he aced a college entry exam and got into college. It really caught me off guard, but when he got into college, they welcomed him like a little broter, which was wholesome to imagine. But I felt inspired by Caleb’s mom’s quote, “Follow your dream, there’s nothing not normal with loving to learn.”

A prodigy that we can all take notes from. Caleb Anderson allows us to inspect what the human mind can be set to and still achieve greatness. Going to college at the age of 12, aced the entrance exams, and was shown how incredible students were treating him. I think we should all look at what he can do and piece it together so we can all flourish.

Caleb Anderson is the type of person you aspire to be when you grow older. A young prodigy who will likely change the world as he comes to age. Although I don’t know the pressure he is going through right now, this article correlates physically and mentally with the work ethic I am attempting to pursue.

This is an amazing article. It was very intriguing and the writer did a very good job. It is unbelievable that he was able to accelerate that much in such a short amount of time. Whereas it takes average learners many more years to come to this point of knowledge. It is truly inspiring that someone is this determined and willing to push themselves to the limits. The text was so detailed and explained everything so well. Reading through the article it is unbelievable how Caleb was able to manage all of this, and still ace all the tests that he took.

The article was very interesting and kept me reading. It’s more than impressive that a 12 year old is accomplishing so much more than some kids half his age. The fact that all of these milestones happened in only in 2 years amazes me. This would be a great article to recommend to anyone who doubts others when it comes to activities like this. Overall I think this is a shocking accomplishment and think this should be shared with many others.

This article is an example of what happens when you put your mind and your abilities to the limit. I was so amazed by what such a young person could do. He went to college before some of his peers even went to High School and even then he excelled. Caleb Anderson is an inspiration to all to reach for the sky.

This is a really cool story because it shows how god can give you abilities and to not be shy about it and show it. It also shows what hard work and determination can show.

This is really mad for a 12 year old boy. I like the fact he started talking before he was even a year old. This young boy is also in college and getting accomplishments that adults dream for their whole life. Even though people started judging his parents, and him in middle school, that didn’t stop him from achieving greatness. In college, though, people treated him well and nice. This shows how nice people can be sometimes, and I know Caleb will have a lot more to work for.

This article is very inspiring. I am so surprised that such a young kid is in college, but I guess anything is possible. I would like to zoom in on a few points, though. First of all, the fact he did so well on the IQ test, is unbelievable. I hope we all know that if you aspire to do something great, effort and natural ability is your #1 asset. The fact that hew wasn’t judged for being so young is great too. It really shows there is some good in the world, and not every turn is another pike of judgement. He really inspired me to do better, and I loved reading this article. Thank you to Caleb and the authors! 🙂

Caleb Anderson is an inspirational person.
The text states that he, ” Is currently a 12-year-old freshman at Chattahoochee Technical College.”
This proves that young kids can do what they want if they put their minds to it.
The text also states that he,” is a fast learner and gets information quicker than most people.” This proves that his brain worked faster than most people.
My final reason that this kid is an important person is that he has stayed strong during hard times, “In middle school, a lot of people treated me like I was an alien” This shows that middle school was not the easiest for him.

In this article, Caleb Anderson is a 12-year-old freshman in college. The college he goes to is Chattahoochee Technical College. He was able to learn faster and process information quicker than most people. At the age of 2 years old, Caleb was moved into 1st grade. His parents were very happy and surprised by his abilities. Caleb was treated very well in the first 12 months of college by his fellow students. I am personally inspired by Caleb because he was determined.

He is a smart young man who is a freshman a 12 years old. He started singing at the young age of 9 months! Starting first grade at age 2. Don’t forget about his super high intelligence.

This is an extraordinary accomplishment for a 12 year old. The fact that someone our age is already acing college entry test and going to college is insane. This shows that if you work hard enough people our age could go to college to. Caleb alone going to college at a young age is insane but, him also making good grades in college at age 12 is mind-blowing. I would never think somebody that young could even pass the college entry exam but, Caleb has proved me wrong. It is also amazing that the other students welcomed him and didn’t judge him on his age. Like Caleb said, him being welcomed helped him with his grades and with his moral in general.

This article is so fascinating the way that a 12-year-old boy being able to attend such a prestigious college. The author did an amazing job of describing the fascinating story of this boy. He 100% deserves all the praise in the world after how hard he worked to achieve these milestones. And to think that he was bullied. That is the most disrespectful thing ever, if someone I knew was that smart I would strive to just be their friend. This really shows the integrity of this generation and I think this should be thoroughly worked on. In conclusion I think there should just be more regulation and punishment for bullying. When this kid grows up and becomes a billionaire the kids that bullied him will want to take advantage of him. Good job Caleb!

This article is a very interesting story on how a young boy can do such amazing things and be so intelligent at such a young age. It is incredible that he started first grade at two! This article really shows the readers to always push the limits and do your best because that’s what Caleb did. There’s so many adults who haven’t accomplished what this boy has. I agree with him going to college instead of staying in his “normal” grade because he would be bored in school and college will push his limits. This article really explains how Caleb felt going through school younger than everyone else, and how he was made fun of. I think that the author did an amazing job capturing what Caleb has accomplished.

Caleb Anderson proves that anything is possible in the world. This article about Caleb Anderson is very inspirational because his age and the amount of hate he got didn’t stop him from learning at a different level from the kids his age. Before I read this article I had trouble believing that people at this age would be able to do anything, but when I read this article I proved myself wrong.Even though he got hate from other people his parent were his main supporters which is very uplifting. The way Hastee wrote this article made it feel like you can do anything as long as you work hard for it meaning if you want it you have to work for it and earn it.
Kailey Rowley • Apr 27, 2022 at 11:42 am
This article is interesting and heartwarming. This article is so well written, and Hastee did such a good job of describing this little boy’s amazing story. Caleb is such a smart kid a definitely deserves to be in a school that can cater to his mind. I’m definitely inspired by a 12-year-old being able to go to such a prestigious college and keep up with everything. It’s so sad that this 12-year-old felt alienated in a middle school where a kid like him belongs. All in all, this story makes me want to go out and be nicer to people because I know how hard middle school can be.

This article is very well written and informs the reader of Caleb’s amazing achievements. It is extraordinary that he started first grade at the age of two and attended college at the age of twelve. Many adults have not achieved what Caleb has achieved in just twelve years. This article shows that you should try your hardest to fulfill your potential.

This article really encapsulates the exceptional abilities that Caleb Anderson has. it is crazy that he was able to accomplish in only 12 years that many adults haven’t completed in their entire lives, go to college. It is very awe-inspiring to see that anything is possible no matter if you are old or young. While many people haven’t heard of this wonderful child it is clear to every one who has that he is special. This proves that you should never give up on your dream because you never know if what you are chasing is only one step ahead of you. Great work by this author.

This is exceptional for someone of such a youth who is capable of achieving and overcoming complicated obstacles to get to where he is currently. The writer, Hastee M., did an exceptional job of depicting this arising prodigy and all the challenges he had to face. I am stunned that an individual around my age can accomplish tremendous feats such as this. It’s inspiring to people around my age and pushes them to do exceptional in their academics.

This is above all impressive, for Caleb to be able to resit the preamble which is 52 words at the age most kids start saying complete sentences. This article is written in a way that I was excited to read more of his accomplishments. In Georgia only about 67.7% of kids go to college so for him to go at 12 is amazing. I love the way you put his past and what he hopes to accomplish in the future, so we can look out for his name. I wonder how he even knew the preamble or if his parents taught him. This story inspires me that I can do whatever if I put hard work into it.

This is an amazing accomplishment at such a young age for Caleb. It’s crazy to think that someone the same age as me is in college. It’s unbelievable and extremely impressive that he performed so well on all those tests in a very short amount of time. It is truly inspiring to know Caleb, who is close to my age, can do something like this! That tells us that we can do it too! If we push ourselves to be determined and stay on the right path. The writer explained Caleb Anderson’s goals so well! When I first read it I was surprised that someone could manage all this. Also I’m very intrigued as to how his parents knew he would do well in college away from them. I wonder how hard it must have been for them to say goodbye to their child. This is so amazing, it encourages me to try harder and reach my goals.
